Selected Achievements

​

On behalf of my clients, we made substantial contributions to improve the quality-of-life across Oregon:

​

• $2 million in grant dollars to restart the State’s affordable loan program to help families and small businesses replace failed septic systems (SB5516, Section 114)

​​

• $15.5 million in support to help families improve, repair, or replace their septic systems (HB5006, Section 114)

​​

• Expanded insurance protections for victims of the 2020 wildfire season (HB3272)

​​

• Protection from eviction for mortgage non-payment due to the economic downturn caused by COVID-19 (HB2009)

​​

• $1 million for an Accessory Dwelling Unit pilot project designed to stabilize moderate income families and create affordable housing (HB3335)

​​

• Completed the Oregon Business Council Water Report, Securing Oregon’s Water Future

​

• In partnership with the Port of Portland, secured a $5MM grant to launch the construction of prototype modular housing using Oregon mass timber. (SB5516)

• Secured $5 million in state funding to create a new loan program designed to help lower income families avoid the high cost of mortgage insurance while maintaining competitive interest rates (HB5006 2022)

​​

• Required the State Fire Marshal to review Oregon structural fire protection laws and practices, then make recommendations to improve protection to the Oregon Legislative Assembly (HB 2522, 2023 Session)
